To begin using the Collections system, your collectors or those employees using the system should be set up with the proper security.
To use Collections Queues, employees must be assigned an employee number and teller number. For step-by-step instructions on how to set up employees, see the "Setting Up an Employee" section of the CIM GOLD User's Guide.
Each employee must also be given security access to use the Collections screen. The "CIM GOLD tab" section in the CIM GOLD User's Guide explains how to set up employees for access to screens within CIM GOLD.
Using the Collections system, employees can:
•View account delinquency information (see Account Delinquency screen).
•Set up collection queues (see Collection Queues screen).
•Assign collection queues to employees (see Queue Assignments screen).
•Enable Variable Queue processing (see Variable Queue Setup screen).
•Establish collection categories (see Collection Categories screen).
•Set up options for loan delinquencies (see Collection Options screen).
•Run the bankruptcy transaction (see Bankruptcy Transaction screen).
•Assign details concerning bankruptcy proceedings (see Bankruptcy Information screen).
•Track detailed information concerning foreclosures, repossessions, and judgments on accounts (see Foreclosure & Repossession & Judgment screen).
•Print collection history information (see Print Collection History screen).
Accounts are not put into the Collections system until the accounts are delinquent. Accounts are not considered delinquent until a certain number of days past the loan payment's due date, as described in Collection Options.
